The Trauma Informed Learning Series will support practitioners in identifying the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), the signs and symptoms of trauma, how to implement trauma informed practices (TIC) in their work and how to support TIC at the organizational level with reflective coaching and mentoring. The three part series can be taken individually or woven together for implementation.
BEYOND PAPER TIGERS: Creating Trauma Informed Organizations
Day 3 will look at how organizations can implement trauma informed principles, policies and procedures to support both staff and clients through a trauma informed lens. Participants will have the opportunity to do an organizational scan and examine where their strengths and opportunities for change lie. We will then explore various strategies to create an organizational culture which promotes staff retention, parallel engagement processes and a trauma informed mindset.
